Voltage drops at WOT with NEW alt???

Well I just installed a bunch of new speed parts (listed in my sig) and Ive spent the last few weeks trying to sort out all the bugs. I took it to the track for a few shack down passes expecting some not so good runs in the mid 13s or so but this night was embarrasing. I was ashamed to have a set of E/T streets anywhere neer my car, let-alone on it! I ran between 13.96(what the car ran bone stock on an 85 degree day)@103 and 14.42(bogging really bad)@101. I was dissapointed to say the least. I couldnt figure out any problems at the track so I headed home. On the way home I opened it up on the highway to get a better feel of things when I noticed the voltage gauge dropping when I floored the gas. I was confused because I just put a brand new alternator on the car. The car just doesnt want to pull above 3500rpm. I had the electric w/p wired in with the ignition fuse in the under hood fuse block like I was told to do. I rewired it into the acc port in the incar box and it seems to pull alot better now but the voltage still drops at WOT. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

THis is ussually a sign of a going fuel pump as I understand it, when the fuel pump starts to flow maximum amount, especially when it gets hot it'll draw a lot of power the older the pump gets, I would run a separete powerwire about a 12 guage all the way to the fuel pump wired on a relay, this will help a ton, try it out.

Cool, I have never herd of doing that. Where exactly should I draw the power from for the new wire? Oh and by the way I figured out why my car was running so slow. #6 and #8 plug wires were burnt completely in to. No juice at all was getting through them. Now it runs unbelivable! I cant wait to get it back to the track and see what it runs now.

Question

I'm having a very similar prob to this and I was wondering how one would go about checking to see if its his fuel pump pulling to much current.
