Voltage drops on acceleration

Hey, I have been STARING at my voltage gage for two weeks now after I replaced the alternator and ignition switch. I noticed that when I come off the line hard, The voltage drops with the acceleration until I hit 2nd. Wondering if this is normal, or if something is wrong, like the belt being worn, or the alternator is bad.

Thanks,
Keith

Is it possible that the new alternator had a slightly smaller puley on it? I got an alternator for my 93 one time and the pulley was smaller. Coupled with a possible old/stretched belt maybe it is slipping. You would think though that you would here a screeching.

If you are in park and give the engine a shot of gas what happens does the voltage still drop??
