VIGILANTE converter question

I was looking at Vigilante converters and I was wondering what the diff. is between a single and multi disk converter. Which one is everyone using?

I think multi disk converters are used when you use a lock-up switch at the track. Might be helpfull if you have big time HP. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: VIGILANTE converter question

This is sort of one of those questions that can be answered just given the fact you asked. If you have to ask then you don't need the multi-disk. TCs work best when allowed to do their thing, the only reason I see to lock one up at the track is if you are running out of revs at the big end which for the vast majority of us is not going to be the case with this OD tranny. Besides todays clutch materials are much better than they were just a few years ago and a single can hold a suprizing amount, but again when on the throttle let the TC work and save lockup for cruising.
