He's in Fort Lauderdale.

I got my gears installed at Elite Race Cars and Shane Mulvey mentioned you (I think it was when we were talking about exhaust systems but I'm not too sure).

If I remember correctly, we were talking about custom duals.
Maybe I'll see you at Moroso some time.

Anyone have experience with these solid lifters. I bought them for my AFR 220 LT4 solid roller combo next spring. Paid $210 shipped, which was not to bad.

Crane 11528

I am going to call them tomorrow and find out if I will have similar issues.

I'm not sure what the difrence is between the 11528 and 11522 are but thought you might want to read what Jason had to say-

Oh and i used Comp EndurX solid lifters on my solid roller setup and no block machining is needed. Just drop them in.
Normally we would have used a smaller intake grind but the exhaust flowed so well ( due tothe custom work ) that we decided to make it 260/260

i dont know why these solid rollers needed to have the valve galleys machined but they did. it was the connectors that connect the lifters to eachother that would hit the block when one vavles was open all the way and the next was closed all the way.

I called Crane and was told that my lifters are much better than the 11522 series. Whole different material, different construction.

I asked about the lifters fitting an LT1 block and was told that it should work being that an alignment plate is there, which it is, it was there stock. I will test it when I get the motor out and if I have a problem, I will have to get the tops of the lifter bores milled down with a starting removal of .200", but I will check before I do such a thing because you do not want the oil grove on the lifter hanging in the open.

Also informed that oil restrictors are a no-no, always thought they were needed? Even in bold letters on their website they mention it. This is due to metered holes in each of the lifters.

He did mention that if you really want to have a pretty aggressive solid roller on the street, put spray bars in the valve covers and put one over the cam. I was thinking that anyways. I looked at Comp Cams for their built-in spray bars in the valve covers...ouch...$400.

About keeping a solid roller well oiled o nteh street as a daily driver doesnt always require a spray bar.

WE used a hi volume oil pump and an 7QT road race oil pan to keep it full of oil. my oil psi at idle is 35 and jups to 70 at WOT and this is a hi flowing oil system.
