-Video of Hooker Catback Interior Sound-

Here is a quick 5 second video of my Hooker Catback from the interior cabin of the car. The video is a little 40-70 mph run, and it's 1MB. I thought some people might be interested to hear what it sounds like at WOT. The windows were closed.

My entire exhaust is setup like a '94-'95 single cat style. I have MAC mid headers, a Bullet muffler in place of the cat, and the Hooker catback. Only other mod is the CAI.

Well, it depends on how loud you have your computer speakers turned up.

It is a little louder in person.

Re: -Video of Hooker Catback Interior Sound-

I don't have cats. I have a 12" bullet muffler in place of the cat. Like I said in the first post, my exhaust is converted to the single cat style.

I didn't want a loud exhaust. It's still almost too loud for me, but it still sounds great. The deep tones of the exhaust don't come through as much in this video. Yes, it is a good deal louder in person.

I've had the Hooker exhaust for about 8000 miles.

I think at first it dropped a tad then after like a second it seemed to rise back up.

Re: -Video of Hooker Catback Interior Sound-

It may drop slightly, but it's still around 50 psi the whole time, which is a lot. I have a video of another run I did up to redline, and it didn't drop at all in that one. Maybe it's just an optical illusion, since for part of the video it's out of the picture, and there is a lot of shadow. I'm certainly not worried about it though. Thanks for keeping an eye on it though.

Re: -Video of Hooker Catback Interior Sound-

I don't think you are legally allowed to not run cats anywhere in the U.S., but many places do not check. Here in my area of Michigan, they don't do any visual or smog inspections, so we can get away with it.

I like the bullet instead of the cat. It made the exhaust note deeper, and I actually get a little less popping from the exhaust when it's cold.(first minute or two). After the first minute, it never pops. It's a little louder than the cat also. I had a high flow cat on before this bullet muffler and I am staying with the bullet muffler for now.

Why the hell would you put 2 mufflers on it? Just weld in a straight pipe?..

Because I didn't want that loud of a car. It's already borderline too loud with the bullet muffler. Maybe you don't realize that a bullet muffler is a straight through muffler. It has the same performance as a straight pipe, but it's not as loud.

I know what a bullit muffler is. If you did'nt want a loud car, why did you even mod the exhaust? 2 each his own, I guess.

Re: -Video of Hooker Catback Interior Sound-

I modded it for the power, and I chose the best flowing exhaust that didn't sound like Nascar every time I drove it. So yes, to each his own. Maybe I should have just run open headers?

Since when does modding your car have to mean that it's going to be loud?
