vibration at speeds 90 and above

when i hit 90 my car starts to shake a lot in the back and i dont know what it could be its only at that speed and higher, any suggestions would be appreciated. THanks dan. it soudns like it could be tire related like out of balance is that a possibility?

Most likely your driveshaft. Is the vibration pretty violent or not too bad? Does it disappear later on or it only gets worse as the speed increases?

Sounds like a driveshaft balance problem similar to what I had. I have since switched to an LS1 aluminum one and my problem went away.

I know that when my tires were mis aligned that I got a vibration at higher speeds. Try getting them balanced and see if it goes away. But it might as well be a balancing issue with the DS.

If it does happen to be an unbalanced DS, as i have this same scenario, is there nething that can b harmed or nething bad going to happen because of it?

Assuming you've got a stock driveshaft, that is more than likely you're problem. The stock steel 93-97 driveshaft is notorious for these types of vibration problems, mainly over 80 + mph.

Other suspect part may be ujoints.

I have the same problem starts at 80mphand goes away after about 105mph. The dealer told me it was my Baer brakes. It only started after they rebuilt my tranny. Anyone have an idea?

well there you go...

the dirometer on polyurethane is high... (that means the mounting material, is harder) therefore they transfer more vibes...

its a common problem...
