Unhappy Vibration

Well I have a pretty strong vibration while driving. It just started last week and its enough to shake the steering wheel. It only happens from 75mph at 2500 rpm and at 90 at 3000 rpm. I havent taken past 90 to see if it is still there but it seems its starting to fade around 90. It only does it at part throttle. Any ideas? My 96 S-10 has been doing the same thing for years but its not as violent.

Try gettin your tires re ballanced. I know that if they arent balanced right that your steering wheel will shake between a certain mph range

I dont remember what I was doing before it happened or how the weather was. Ill try rebalancing them. I just had new tires put on a couple months ago and I watched him balance them but I suppose a weight could have fell off somehow.

a weight could have fallen off if ti was cold out and then got hot the expanding and contracting of the metals could have fallen or if you gat gotten some good grip hitting the breaks hard or hitting the gas hard your tire could have rotated on the rim it has happened to me before

I've never experienced it but from what I have heard, the driveshaft vibration trouble is really only felt at high speeds.

High speeds like 65 or above..mine starts at 75-80 but who's to say when it would start. I am just suggesting something.

From: NY...what a bad place for a nice car
seems like everybody is leaning in the same direction i was..

wheel balance would shake the steering wheel left and right
driveshaft would just give u a vibration i dont c y it would shake the steering wheel
id lean toward the wheel balance since u said that u had them changed a few months ago

i have a wuick question.....would low tread on tires cause more road noise??
