Very important poll. Which is quieter?

I need to know from those that have owned either both of these or at least one of these setups.

I currently have Hooker LT's, no cat, SLP LM - waaay too loud IMO so i'm looking at an Xpipe true dual setup. Will this quiet the car down?

Re: Very important poll. Which is quieter?

depends on what kind of muffler you put on the duals. It is not the pipe that makes it loud. It is the muffler or the lack there of. If you put the same muffler on a y-pipe and drual duals, the duals will be louder. If you put a loudmouth on a y-pipe and stock mufflers on duals, the loudmouth will be louder.

don't mind my last post. I didn't read the poll until after i posted. I think the loudmouth will be louder than the x-pipe with bullets

No dude - you don't understand. LT's !cat +Loudmouth = impounded car. Not IF, just a matter of when.

It sounds great IMO - simply too loud. Like, hear it 3 neighborhoods away loud.

Re: Very important poll. Which is quieter?

I have a SLP loudmouth right now....

would an 18" Bullet and two 12" or 18" bullets right before the tailpipes quiet my exhaust down significantly?

it's kinda funny. By reading the replies you would think that the poll results would be one sided but it is an even 50/50

Yeah I see that. Not sure now if the true dual setup is the way to quiet this thing down.

I may just install 2 cats in the Y pipe and see what happens.

Re: Very important poll. Which is quieter?

If you have a crossover like an X or an H it is supposed to quiet it down a good bit.
