very hard to start and then wonts to die?
very hard to start and then wonts to die?
Hi I just bought a 97 Camaro z28 and it’s the first chevy I’ve ever owned.
Sometimes it starts right up and then other times it will crank and crank and crank and then it acts like its firing on 3 or 4 cylinders and then fires on up and runs great.
Its got 122k on the clock and it’s a 6 speed all stock.
any help would be great.
Anything else i need to do to it at that milage?

Sounds like to me it's flooding when it's shut off. First, check the oil for a fuel smell. Obviously that would indicate a leak. Pull the vac line from the FPR to see if it's wet. If that's not it, pull the plugs to see if one is fouled.
You can also experiment the next time you try to start it, hold the throttle wide open. If it starts easier, is is flooding after shut down and more than likely it is either the FPR diaphragm leaking or an injector is leaking.
May also be weak spark so either way when you look at the plugs, you'll rule one out and one in perhaps.
