Unhappy Very Bad Shaking...Please Help.

Sometimes when i let out on the clutch from a stop while giving it gas the tranny shakes really bad. It does this while going straight but it does it more often when i'm turning or when i'm backing up from a stop. I also noticed it does it more when i'm going up a driveway or something like that from a stop. It also does this sometimes when i'm turning right or left in 1st and sometimes 2nd gear. My tranny mount is a new ES poly mount. and everything on the tranny is nice and tight. What do you think this can be. Do you think my clutch or input shaft is crooked? Or do you think this is my posi unit going out? I gotta replace my Stock DS because it is unbalanced and the car shakes at speeds over 85mph. But i gotta figure this out to since it is driving me crazy. Please help me. Thanks.

depending on how bad it shakes, it's probably normal. mine does it too if you dont give it enough gas, and I've been told it is because of the clutch has kevlar

Thought I recognized this thread.

Well i had this problem since i have got the car 7,000 miles ago. But its starting to drive me crazy again. So now that i want to figure out what it is. If i'm at a stop and turning either right or left i get a really bad vibration. My whole transmission starts to shake. But it will only do it as long as i'm giveing it gas. It does it also when i'm going slow around a turn, but not always. If i'm going fast it doesn't do it though. Any ideas on what it could be? I did it before when my tires were bald, and it still does with brand new tires. I have a poly tranny mount that is not broken. Other than that i'm open to suggestions. Thanks.

If your sure the tranny is thumping when you turn corners then I would have to say your problem is in the differential. Assuming that your clutch is ok. Remember your letting the clutch out or putting it in when turning. But if the clutch were the problem you would have straight line problems also. It has to be the diff.

Try checking it with both rear wheels off the ground. Put tranny in neutral. Try having one person hold one rear wheel while the other person turns the other rear wheel.

Okay i will try that tomarrow. Thanks. Any other suggestions?

So what happened????? Are you now saying that it occurs all the time not just turning?????

If it is progressively getting worse, then it must be either the clutch or diff. If it were the normal "lugging" problem from too low of RPM it wouldn't have gotten worse.
