Vented gas cap after removing EVAP system??

I am removing the EGR, air pump system, and EVAP system from the car, and having the codes deleted. Should I get a vented gas cap so pressure doesn't build up in the tank? There is a control valve on the vent line from the gas tank to the evap canister, and I was going to plug that and what fumes would normally go through there, would just vent through the cap.....does that make sense??? If your wondering why I would do this.....the egr and air are coming off for long tubes, and the evap canister keeps cracking on the inside, and shooting charcoal up the lines and ruining the switch and purge valve on the way to the throttle body. I've changed that sh*t twice already and the light came on for it again, since they are "dealership" parts its about 125.00 each time. A friend of mine has had the same problem in a '96 T/A and he had his fixed at the dealership for 300.00 and his went bad again two months ago......is this a common problem on LT-1's? Mine only has 40K on it.
