vavle covers will not work with roller rockers

hi, I bought the 1:6 comp cam S/A roller rockers and the guy that is installing them said my valve covers will not work. I am going to order some and was wondering if the valve covers that jegs sells in the Lt1 section will work. They are the tall design that sells for 95 dollars. I told the the guy to cut the old ones out and he insist on me buying some new ones. Let ne know which ones will work and were to buy.

thanks
Josh

Say...

Your valvecovers will work...you just have to flatten the support brackets, since they have kind of an "L" shape at the bottom..just flatten that out with some good pliers..you also have to flatten up the breather vent in the passenger side cover..done promags on MANY LT1's with stock covers.

correct, flatten or dremel the edge off of the supports. those pro mags are fat suckers. also, don't forget to crush the sides of that oil breather thing or whatever that is

Hey guys, they will definatly work, no use in buying new parts when stockers are just fine. Not to mention, easier to deny motor mods. We just got done installing Comp Pro Magnum 1.6 NSA with COMP guideplates, yea the RAISED ones, and we got them to fit! We just had to completly cut the interior support brackers and stud guides to get them to fit. They still are pretty strong and haven't collasped. We'll just have to see how they hold up in time now.
