Valvetrain ticking and oil pouring out of a few rockers
I've had a tick for awhile now and just took off the valve covers on the motor to take a look and adjust the one or two that ticks. I noticed right away that two of the rockers on the drivers side are pouring out oil and spraying everywhere on my headers , does this mean that the lifters aren't pumping up? It sometimes ticks other times it doesn't theres no play in the rocker when at TDC, but the other rockers just trickle oil out which is what its supposed to do not pour it out. This is a full rebuild with the LT4 kit, motor has about 3000 miles on it and been up to redline quite a few times, always had this valvetrain tick though, it just like two rockers on the driver side and one on the pass. side, would this be a symptom of a collapsed lifter?

bump, gonna try and readjust the rockers today to 1/2 turn past zero lash like i normally do. I've had 3 lifters collapse last year (summit brand) and replaced them with GM ones and all seemed well, just the ticking and a few pouring out oil, the rockers feel tight and not spongy like a collapsed lifter would, possibly check valve stuck not pumping up or something else allowing too much oil through the pushrod? C'mon guys what are my options or courses of action? The ticking is very pronounced around 2,000 rpms and sometimes on cold starts it will tick for a few seconds loud and quiet right down.

If I had 3 lifters, of a particular brand, collapse on me; I'd get rid of them. Get a set of GM ones and see if that fixes it(I'm assuming you just replaced the 3 that failed).
