valvetrain noise

ProMags with Morel lifters. This setup seems to produce alot of noise.
I've heard that ProMags are loud, but I'm wondering if I have lash adjusted correctly.

Since your questioning if their set correctly, How did you adjust them?.......

My engine builder set them. He went back and re-checked everything after a few miles and said they're fine. Maybe I'm being ****.

It's hard to tell without hearing them. But if you can tell that one is noisier than the others, that could indicate a problem whereas if they are all equally noisy, a problem is less likely.

mine are a little noisy. I have one that I have to lash a bit tighter on the drivers side. I would say they make some noise.

Mine were mostly quiet on the stock cam, now I have the LE1.5 cam and they are much louder. Some say the Vette composite valve covers help some.

Just got done messing with my pro mags today. It should sound like a sewing machine. If one sounds louder than the others it is probably off, just need go back and make sure it is tight.

Pro-Mags are generally louder than other rockers. Also like stated above if they all sound the same I would not worry, but if one is really making a loud tapping noise you need to look at them and see what is going on.

My pro-mags are just slightly louder than stock, but they are the Non Self Aligning rockers which are supposed to be quieter from what I understand. With the hood down, you don't hear them at all.

Are yours Self Aligning?

Everybody at the shop where I had the car dynoed today told me all the noise is piston slap.
According to the engine builder at a pretty reputable nationally known shop around here forged pistons + floating pins = low RPM piston slap. He told me not to worry about it.

Dan, they are non self aligning.

I doubt it is the rockers then, unless they didn't adjust them right. If you're close enough to me, you can stop by and hear mine.
