Valvetrain Faqs

Can we get a sticky with different springs and what they will work with?

I see a lot of post concerning this and the info has been posted numerious times..but its spread all over the place!!

I can start off if it helps... or someone else can contribute/correct me.

I have a CC306 and Im using combination motorsports EX-612s. Good for .600 lift and fits on stock heads with no machining.

I have 1,000 miles on them so far. About a month total right now. I did a heat cycle break in, taking it easy on them.. currently shifting on the stock set 5700rpm but will be moving up to 6300rpm this weekend.

Why do we need a thread about what spring work with what cam? If you can do some simple math you can figure it out yourself.

not bad at all. what's your total lift? I plan on running the same springs with the 227/233 cam.

I know Crane also has a single coil spring that fits stock seats.

Re: Valvetrain Faqs

Z95, I dunno if you looked around but there are a lot of threads asking.. It would make everyones lives easier to have a FAQ. I just went thru this mess and it took hours of searching to find the right springs. Congrats if simple math can help you pick the springs, but does math tell you if they fit your heads? If they need machining? Etc?? Just trying to help others out.

Re: Valvetrain Faqs
