Question Valve Train Questions

I am going to be repalcing some valve train parts and need some suggestions. I for sure am replacing lifters with stock GM and springs with LT4 springs. I want to go to 1.6 roller rockers but need a few suggestions. Self alighn or non self alighn rockers? Also are the stock studs 3/8? If so should I stick with thoes or go bigger? If I go non sa I will have to get guide plates and I already plan on hardened push rods. Just wondering if there is anything else that I am missing. Any help is appreciated, thanks......

I think the stock lifters are kinda pricey. You might want to check aftermarket options.

I would also call Combination Motorsports and let them price you what you need. They have some great sounding new springs that don't require any head work and will handle up to .600 lift.

The stock studs are 3/8". For piece of mind, you can go to 7/16 for not much $$ since you are getting rockers anyway. You simple screw out the old studs and in with the new. The head side thread is the same on both (7/16").

Non SA might be a bit more stable. You need guideplates and hardened pushrods to go with them.
