low coolant light?

Ok I have a 96 trans am and this light just came on yesterday morning. I checked everything and my coolant level is fine and I cant find any type of leak anywhere. So you think its possible its just that sensor? I wasnt sure cause I have 78k miles and I didnt know if it would go bad that quick?

yeah the sensor always %^&s up just check levels periodically after disconnecting to make sure you have coolant. Also if the light only comes on when you first start your car when its cold and then doesnt come on when you start it warm you may have air in the system.

coolant sensor died, its right under the radiator cap.
They always go bad, happened twice in my old Z28 and I replaced it on my SS within 2 weeks of having it.

Replace

Don't just unplug it. Replace it. It's a $15 part. Do it right and you'll be happier in the long run.
