valve stem seals for aftermarket valves?

I want to change the valve stem seals on my heads which are ported stock lt1 heads by McKenzie Cyl. heads.. I didn't buy the heads they came with another car I bought.

How can I check to find out what kind of valve stems seals I need? I am pretty sure the valves are aftermarket slightly larger than stock. Would Fel-Pro seals be fine to use?

Unless you have some really odd valves the diameter of the stem should be the standard SBC (11/32").

Thanks.. I picked up some felpro viton valve stem seals for intake/exhaust.. are these good seals? I also heard that the valves could possibly be machined for a different type of seal than is used in stock applications?

What can be machined is the top of the valve guide, if you want to use a different type/diameter of seal or if you need more clearance for the bottom of the retainer to the top of the seal (high lift cam/short valve). The FelPro viton seals are excellent. Use them.
