I used Patriot "Gold Xtreme" springs for my 306 install. Most people recommend Comp Cams' springs as a minimum when installing this cam..

springs that basically fit a SB Chevy will fit an LT1 also but you need to make sure the springs that you get have the seat pressure, open pressure, coil bind clearance and are made of a quality wire so they will work with your cam and RPM the engine will see.

The BEST set uip will be the Patriot Gold Extreme springs. They are springs, retainers, locks, locators and seals all in one kit. They are $275 plus $10 shipping thru Patriot.
