valve springs

I want to see if any of you guys are running anything like this.I have a friend thats has some 1.26(old style)springs on his lt1,they are smaller than the stock springs, they are rated .550 lift,he bought the whole kit with retainers off ebay(pbm)brand for $50 .He has about 4k miles on them now,he installed them with prw 1.6 rockers on his stock cam ,and it was a major improvement.I was going beehives when I install my 1.6 rollers ,but I could buy these for the cost of beehive retainers. He also installed his using the stocks shims,I just wondering about how these work long term?

If all you are doing is the 1.6 rockers, go with the LT4 Hotcam springs. They're drop-in and cost about $40.

I'd rather put in a good spring and never have to play with the valvetrain again
