can someone give me a list of tools ill need to do valve springs with the heads on the car. links to websites would help as well. thank you

 

the valve spring compressor tool, a regular wrench for adjusting the rockers and for taking off the valve covers. and one of those little magnet pens for dropping in the spring locks. those tiny little things that hold it in place. you dont need the magnet thing it just makes it easier

you can pick up both of those things at autozone in the special tools aisle.


thats all you need.

 

hop on over to ls1tech and do a search for "tims valve spring tool"...
i used this for my crane 10308-1 vs kit and it worked like a charm...
very good price too i might add...

thanks guys. they were Comp bee hive springs and theyre getting swapped to Patriot Titaninum dbl Valve Springs with locks, retainers and lockers. which tool would you suggest for them Shoebox?

 

I used the Crane tool for my CC26918 to PAC1518 swap. Best tool I've ever used for on car replacement. I don't see why it wouldn't work for any SBC spring, beehives or conventional.
