Exclamation Valve spring question.....

I've decided to go with the xe224/230 cam. should I be okay if I buy springs that are rated up to .550'' lift. will that be sufficient?
I will be using 1.6rr's.

here are the stats for the springs...
Spring Pressure Installed: 115# @ 1.700" -- 110# @ 1.800"

Spring Pressure Open: 335# @ 1.200 -- 325# @ 1.250

Coil bind @ 1.150"

Thanks!

If your cam has .510 lift on the exhaust side with 1.5 rockers, then it will have .544 with 1.6. That cuts it a little close.

Combination Motorsports has a set of springs that will go right on without modification and are good to .600 lift. They are not expensive. Nice folks to deal with, give them a call and ask any questions you like.
