Yeah, that looks like a Lislie and is way cheaper than anything else avalialbe right. Lemme give you a couple of tips and it should work like a charm.
1) Grind a small 30 degree bevel onto the inner feet, the part that pushes down on the retainer. Otherwise it may have a tendency to walk/shift side to side on the top of the retainer.
2) Ditch the lever and just use the bolt and a ratchet. The lever has too much friction in the cam mechanism and is very hard to use, its' no problem with a ratchet though. Put a drop of oil on the washer too.
3) depending on the spring and the orientation you may have trouble getting the hooks to grab the spring low enough to get enough compression out of the tool. To remedy this just replace the supplied bolt with a longer one, luckily I had one in my Misc box.
Yes, this tool 'works' out of the box, and it is much cheaper than the others, but with those three tips it really works great!
Oh yeah, also get yourself a magnet to pull the retainer locks out. I already had a teloscoping pen type one, but you could use a regular ole refridgerator magnet for this job.
good luck
