Valve Lash Problem See Inside PLEASE!

I own a 1995 LT-1 firebird, I have just installed a custom grind blower cam from comp 224 /236, .502/.520 @ 1.5, lsa 114, I have also installed comp cams pro mags 1.6 rockers, 7 /16 studs, non S.A, guide plates and hardened stock length pushrods, and Crane 10308 dual valve springs.

When I crank the motor over to lash it down, I was using the one cylinder at a time method because of the over lap in the cam, on some cylinders you lash it and go to say the extra 1/2 turn and you get say 3/8 of a turn and it won't go any farther it's like bottomed out.

Does anyone know what is going on.

i would guess the lockson the top of the bolts are your problem or you have them too tight.

you must have the locks down, loosen them up.

EDIT: Do you have all the rockers on correctly? With the indention for the nut facing up?

I used the TDC method using #1 and #6, a lot faster than the each cylinder at a time, and i got it perfect, no clacking, and not too tight. I only used 1/8-1/6 of a turn after zero lash.

That's what I was thinking but the guy helping me said to check the pushrod length they are to small now for that cam, the pushrods should be fine there crane hardened pushrods stock length I was told they would work with no problems is this true.

He also said to check if the the trunion is hitting the head of the stud like it's bottoming out, but that doesn't make sense.

I just want to make sure all these parts should work together like I was told.

Yes all the rockers and the groves are up, also I was told you have to use the each cylinder method because of the cam overlap.

Thanks
...Rich

Roller cam pushrods are

SHORTER than regular 350 chevies without roller cams. Did you put regular pushrods in instead of roller ones??
