Valve float
Re: Valve float
Oh, ok. I'm way off. I'm trying to figure out why my car feels so weak up top. I guess I can rule out valve float because thing has no problem spinning to the top it just feels horribly weak.
Re: Valve float
I have a Dynaspark. Sometimes I get a high reso code but it goes away. Happened twice but didnt effect the drivability and only happened around start up. Wouldnt even know it popped if I didnt have a scanmaster. Plug are brand new and the wire have 1000 miles if that. Another issue I noticed up top was a cloud of smoke whenever I floor it and along with that cloud of smokes sometimes I have flames shoot out. Something is going on but I can put my finger on it.
Re: Valve float
I saw on your car domain page that you changed out the fuel injectors. If the car has no tuning and you changed to a larger injector, then that's your problem. When I got my AI cam & head package I had to upgrade the injectors. The car had a hot cam tune in it before (used factory injectors), so I thought to just install my 42's and drive to the dyno to get it sorted out. Dude, the car barely made it to the dyno. Frequent stalling, rough idle, won't rev, black smoke ect... After a couple of minutes on the dyno my tuning guy straightened it all out and the car drove home perfect. So give that a shot, or just put your stock injectors back in to see if it clears at all. Don't race with the stock injectors (might go too lean), but just for testing & normal driving to the dyno you should be fine.
Lastly, make sure to change your oil very soon. All that extra fuel will thin out your oil and might hurt the bearings. That would really suck, but that kind of stuff can happen.
