Valve Covers

I was just wondering if any of yall have tried to buy tall aftermarket valve covers for the LT1 and if so what kind they were. We just installed the Comp Cams Pro Magnum rockers and they are very close to the stock valve covers and we would like some more clearance. Thanks for the info.

Re: Valve Covers

you will have to grind on the casing for the alt or relocate it with any you use.

Re: Valve Covers

by machined you mean hammer??? sure. or you can die grind the "ear" off the back of the alternator and it'll be fine...as long as they arent more than about 1/4" taller than stockers.

so if you're planning on using the 1/2" spacers from moroso...wont work, if you are getting "high performance stock replacement" units, they'll work without relocating the alt.
