Valve cover question

I am about to put on a set of LT4 valve covers. I was wondering, do those need to be modified to fit over Harland Sharp 1.6 roller rockers? I know the stock ones needed to grinded and all kinds of stuff. Any mods need to be done to the LT4 covers?

They might or might not. Not many people are running these. They were supposed to be designed to fit with the GMPP 1.6 RR so there is more clearance there. I doubt they're any taller, though. You'll have to test fit them to be sure.

the only reason stockers need to be clearanced is because they have tangs that connect the upper side to the lower side...and since the factory rockers dont use trunions, they have all the clearance they need. but when you throw huge trunion bearings on a rocker, clearance between the rockers is lost...and in some cases as little as 1/16" is all that's left...

so, you should have no problems with the composite covers since they dont have the tangs in them.
