valve cover .
i have a 97 lt1 and can not find a good pair of
valve cover for my car that have a taperd end
so the alternator will go back in the stock locataion
the set of profrom covers are 1/4 in to tall.

Are you mad cause you already have the proforms? or you have tried everything else and am asking about the proforms?
I and others have used the proforms (GM performance parts) numbers 12497978 and 979 by filing or grinding the lip near the alternator and/or filing the alternator bracket.
