Valve cover filters

The hose that runs from the rear of the passenager side valve cover i have put inline two filters to help reduce oil being sucked into the throttle body then into the manifold. I was woundering has way one replaced it completely with just a breather. Good idea or Bad. also would it bother anything that i put those filters inline???

Re: Valve cover filters

I think the reason for not using a breather is so that the vapors are not vented into the atmosphere but rather burned up during combustion. Ive seen people run breathers before and all old engines had them so it shouldn't hurt anything.
