There is some clearancing you'll have to do in order for them to work with the stockers. The little bent down tabs can be bent out of the way or cut off. You'll see what I'm talking about when you try to put them on, it's not too hard to do it. Sorry, I have no pics.

I went with some taller polished cas aluminum ones from eBay, but those actually required grinding to fit. I have to say it was worth it though, they look 10x better to me.

I think the valve cover gaskets are about $8 or so. No need to reuse the old ones when fresh ones are so cheap. You can get Felpro @ Autozone, Advance Auto, etc.

I have NSA Pro Mag 1.6 with gm guideplates, and they cleared my lt4 valve covers with no modifications.

I just did a search on www.ebaymotors.com for lt1 valve covers and picked a set. They were about $110 shipped back then.

There's been numerous threads about this. You might want to try a search for "tall valvecovers". I'm using Proform tall aluminum covers (Sold through GM Performance).

They will work as long as the pieces are cut out.
