valve adjustment with hotcam??

valve adjustment with hotcam??
finished my install and they seem a bit loud so im going to adjust them with the engine running, hotcam guys do you go 1/4 after the "clacking" or 1/2 turn...

I've always gone 1/2, but I have seen many that do only 1/4. Seems to be one of those personal preferences.
How about 3/8!
