vacuum lines
I was wanting to know if anybody knew where to get stock replacement parts for the vacuum lines on my 94 LT1, the local parts stores sell stuff that's close, but close leads to problems, and on an engine as sensitive to vacuum leaks as the LT1-LT4 platform, I don't want to save a few pennies on lines and have a snortin gas belchin mess on my hands. Also the parts store don't have the correct elbows/ connectors either. We have 2 chevy dealerships near by, and when u call them the answer you get as far as parts for a 94 vary by who's on the phone, I mean as far as parts availability, also they say something to the effect of "we need to look up those part numbers and we'll call you back with the availability, and prices, and of course they don't. It irritates me to no end. I have seen the silicone kits sold on ebay by a company, but have heard that they aren't that great either. I would like to keep the factory look, or preferably clean it up some under the hood, the previous owner of my car apparently didn't know what mounting points and brackets were for and. Many of my vacuum attachments weren't secured, not a big deal until heat fries your purge solenoid or egr control solenoid, any help would be appreciated, also replacing everything with cheap vacuum line isn't an option, as I said before, stemp on the pennies and it'll cost ya in the long run.
