Vaccum Modulation ?

What is this brass nipple ?
I finally installed a Stage II A4 Trans with a 2800 Vigilante Convertor.
This is the transmission.

On the top/outside of valve body area is a little brass nipple sticking out with no hookup avail to it. There was not one on my old trans.
The only possible thing I can think of is Vaccum Modulation, which of course I have no idea what that means or what I should do with this, I blocked it off.
It hits the rev limiter quite often when it kicks down and I know OBD I and lots of stall have issues.
Any ideas ?
