Re: vac lines

According the to hose diagram on the radiator cover, it is the top one, but it is whatever one does not go to the fuel pressure regulator.

Re: vac lines

My 94 was just like the pics on Rob's website.... top connector to the HVAC controls, bottom connector to the fuel pressure regualtor.

Re: vac lines

thanks fred, i plugged it iff with a cap and now i'm tracing down where the other side leads.

what I mean is that when you disconnect the hvac the lines are still open (its not connected to the intake manifold anymore). so where do all those lines go because the only thing i have left is fuel pressure regulator.

should i just plug it where i disconnected it near the passenger side or is it worth tracing down and removing the rest of the lines that are hidden in the black wire looms???

thanks!!!

and actually....why should it matter which "nipple" the fuel press. reg. is plugged into??? as long as it is pulling vacuum it should be correct. yes or no?

Re: vac lines

The other side? Of the HVAC hose? It goes in the wire loom and comes out at the check valve that is normally by where the a/c pipes enter the evaporator housing.

No, it does not really matter which port is used for what on the side of the manifold. The vacuum is the same. When they made the diagram, they had to specify one or the other and that is just the they chose. That's why I said "whatever one does not go to the fuel pressure regulator" in my first post.

Re: vac lines

oh well that makes a lot more sense now...i'm not sure what i was doing, i think i was just confusing myself some more. i'll check out your website for some pictures of the vac. canister.

i thought that it wouldnt have mattered because of what you posted.

Re: vac lines

Once you cap the port on the manifold, all those lines that were connected to it won't matter. They will just be taking up space.
