V6 vs V8
Just to back up everyone else...just put it this way...
You will beat him sooooo bad, him nor any family member of his will ever want to drive another car again in fear that they may be beaten by a kid on a tricycle while playing drums in 10 degree weather on the day before Armageddon with bagpipes playing as background music...
In other words, you'll destroy him.

Bro u own a z28 u should know the potential of ur car. I know asking questions is the only way to learn. But man look what ur comparing it too. Man u can give him the jump and pick ur nose, catch back up to his window flick wat u picked, and proceed to whip up on him. Just to make it even worse, when u get up next to him just stay beside him for a bit and then lay the smack down. Let him feel for a few seconds that he is actually keeping up. Its a more fun and slow death.
Peace

The only V6's that you have to worry about from GM are in GNX/GN/T-Type/Syclone/Typhoon. The only reason you have to fear them is because all of them come with turbo's from the factory and can be made very fast for very little money.
True story.

If the dude has a big racing sticker on his car, then you might lose. If it has a huge after market wing then you will really lose. Oh and maybe you should stop wondering if you will beat a V6 Camaro and start wondering if your gonna pass English.
Actally in Febuary 2003 issue of High Performance mag,a guy ran his v6 bird, with only some head work, and some exhaust work ,323's,headers,slp intake, and some suspension mods, ran in the high 14's,then he added nitrous, and ran 13.6 on street tires, then ,with a set of Nitto's went to 12.8 @ 104mph.Since it's almost hollloween,I thought I'd throw a little scare out there.Might be here,I dunno=www.highperperformancepontiac.com.
Yeah I think they are a 100 pounds or more lighter still each hundredth is only a tenth faster in the quarter.Without major power mods like nitrour or blower an lt1 even stock will eat up a v6..and once the lt1 has few minor mods forget it v6 boys..
sorry but true..this doesn't include v6 turbo regals of course or cars with massive poweradders and nitrous or boost levels..
race the bum already..he will hang his head in shame until he goes out and buys a v8.

There is a guy with a moded gtp runing 12.8's at the track up here, btw he has a cam, ported heads, exhaust, diff. pulley, slicks... there are some v6's you need to watch out for, but only if u hear a wine coming from under the hood.

When did Pontiac start making the WS6? Like 1987?
