In no way will he stand a chance. Even if he supercharged his car itd be hard to beat you without heads and cam along with it.

He has 200hp stock, probably 210 with those mods. Plus hes a convertable and has extra weight.

Nope. Not if that's the only stuff he's done to his car. You've got ~75HP on him.

Cool

No such thing as a " Race Chip " for a 96, OBD2 is a PCM ( Programable Control Module ) .... But he can get LT1 edit from Ken.......I do believe they now have a Program for the V 6's.

Besides My 96 SS I also have a 2002 3.8 convertible, bugger hauls butt for a 6 cyl, super on passing but it is no match for a Stock Z/28

a race chip is the 'jetchip' that didnt give me .01 or .01 mph **** sux, all it did was give me worse mileage (when i had my 6)

you will desimate him so bad

just tell him u'll race for 100 bux, u dont have time and gas to waste on v6s, so say, give me 2 dollars for gas, and 100 min bux for the race when i win

big amounts of money always shut ppl up, and they'll say like 'oh uhhh, i dont race in the streets'

I raced my pretty stock 1980 ta with cam and 3.42 gears but 400 engine guessing near 300hp at engine against 1997 v6 with minor mods..I went 15.0 at 95mph and missed second gear entirely actually buddy was driving I was in car for the the ride my first time at track. The v6 went like 16.5 at like 80 something.

Even my bone stock lt1 vert just ran 14.6 at 98 plus mph with a crappy
2.47 60ft ..the v6 cars have a very hard time breaking out of the 16s around here..I am at 1900ft above sea level that hurt times too.
I predict you will simply crush him unless you super super spin the tires off..But slowest with vert was still a 14.93 with like a 2.65 60ft.
I agree 100 bucks..that should shut him up and pay for a new mod for your car.Tear him a new one..!!!

If it were that easy to make a V6 beat a Z28 than I would imagine there would be a lot more V6's burning up the tracks.
