V6 to LT1 swap. major differences.

V6 to LT1 swap. major differences.
I am not sure where to post this so I will try it here.
I can pick up a very nice 95 V6 bird with a blown motor for cheap, question is what are the major things I would have to change to make the swap?

wiring I am sure, I would just pick up an LT1 harness someplace.
Tranny would be changed eventually (automatic) but will the V6 one bolt up and work for awhile?
The car is for my girlfriend who wants a project we can both work on (her handing me tools is what will happen I know) the car is in very nice condition interior and exterior wise and has been taken care of this is the only reason I am thinking of doing this.
Any advice will be appreciated and yes I know it would be better to buy an LT1 car but is it reasonbly possible to make the swap?
I already have the LT1 motor if that makes a difference.
