I'm afraid that is the problem I've run into--the 93 emissions conenctions are different. Thanks for the offer though. Sounds like a screaming deal.

Re: Using Newer Manifolds on a '93

Well, I've resolved my problem for now. I ended up using the '94 exhaust manifolds that are all prettied up. I bought the correct EGR tube from GM and the EGR system works fine. In doing a fair bit of research about the AIR system and the e-testing conducted here, I've realized I can most likely do without it...so long as my catalytic converter is good, which it appears to be. I bought two drain plugs with copper washers from Canadian Tire to plug the AIR inlets in the manifolds (I have the part number available should anyone want it) and removed all the AIR components from the car. I also bought some new Mr. Gasket Copper Seal Gaskets and, for the heck of it, I replaced both O2 sensors. With all said and done, I've got two perfectly functional and nice-looking manifolds and it cost me less than $100 (excluding the O2 sensors I didn't really NEED to buy). Yay! More money for my thirdgen! (the '93 is going to be my fun 'daily' driver) I also retained all the AIR system components in good condition so that when I do put headers on the car, I can use '93-specific headers and have a fully functional emissions system again.

The next step for me is the e-test, which is on Friday afternoon. Wish me luck! Thanks for all the suggestions and good header-related advice which I will make use of soon enough.

Good luck!
Should you decide to look into headers, SLP is clearing out their 93 headers at a pretty nice price.

Nice! I wish I'd seen that sooner. At any rate, I had the car inspected today. No more exhaust leaks!...but I failed the emissions testing. My NOX and CO emissions were double the limit...and I have the EGR hooked up and functional. New O2 sensors as well. The HCs were perfect, so I don't think it's related to the missing AIR system. Perhaps a new exhaust is on its way afterall...
