UPS MAN Heads
Re: UPS MAN Heads
Your about a half an hour for me. I have two friends going to help me when i get my headers in as well. Let me ask you though, i see you got the hot cam? Would you recommend that? I figure i might as well do it all at once right? Do you install everything on your car yourself?
Re: UPS MAN Heads
I would definately recommend the HotCam kit to anyone with a daily driven LT-1. I'm well aware there are cams out there that will make more power, but I'm extremely satisfied with the performnce of the cam. You said you have ported heads, so a custom cam would probably be best for your car. However, I'm sure it would run great with a XE XXX/XXX, CC305, Hotcam, something similar. Decisions decisions.
I have done all the work on my car, including rebuilding the engine. I did EVERYTHING except balance the rotating assembly. It took me a month to do it, but I did it right and I haven't had any problems whatsoever. I think I've put 10,000 miles on it since April in all kinds of traffic, A/C on, been to the track a few times. If you're careful with your heads/cam install your engine should live a very long time. Just PM me if you want a hand with anything. If nothing else I'll be happy to stand around and swill your beer.
Edit: I just looked at your profile. I guess I'll bring the beer.
