i tangled with a newer bmw yesterday. i noticed that when i got to around 4500 -5000 rpm it felt like it stopped pulling. at first i thought i was spinning my tires. i changed gear and it did it again. it felt like something in the ignition system was breaking down. anybody else ever experienced this? it has never done it before yesterday. it always pulls stong upto the redline area. (i always shift before the redline, of course) thanks. mike
