Is upgradinig to a ported intake manifold worth it?

I am wondering if a ported intake manifold would be worth it for my new setup. My mods and flow numbers for my heads are in the link below.

Should help. I dont see why it wouldn't do you any better than the one you have. I'd for sure get it. An HP gained is an HP earned. HaHa

i've read several posts over the past few years of guys porting their intakes or spending several hundrd dollars to have someone port it out and were VERY dissappointed. they were finding only a few (less than 5) hp gians from it. the only way i would consider doing it is if you are planning on doing it yourself and if you need to enlarge the holes for a 58mm throttlebody.

think about it, if guys are arguing that something that looks as restrictive as the stock 48mm throttle body is supporting 500hp engines without any problems, how much do you really think porting the intake is gonna do?

bottom line, if you are gonna do it for free...go for it, as stated evry little bit helps. otherwise don't bother
