Upgrading to LS1 front brake, couple q's

Hey, I just bought LS1 brake upgrade from a friend for $75 he pulled them off a 2002 camaro. Question is how can I tell if the spindles are bent? The car was wrecked from the front and would like to make sure they are not bent before installing them.

Another question is how much room is neede in my wheel for this to fit without issues. I have aftermarket 16in wheels and holding up the rotor to my wheel is just like "damn these rotors are huge! and looks like a very very TIGHT squeeze"

They were designed to work with 16" rims. I have the upgrade with my stock rims. Not sure about aftermarket, but I would think it would be ok.

look for rust at least something out of the ordinary. I found a small rust patch on my spindle after i tryed to put it on and it wouldn't straighten out on the alignment machine, so i had to by a new spindle. $200. A small bend would be able to work since you have to get an alighnment, but mine was just out of spec to work.
