Re: Update new cam only lt1 times

Awesome times their Frank.. your car is an aspiration for mine

My car has about 200# of raceweight over yours (no weight reduction), but damn, you've got 4 mph on me even with your smaller cam from before!

Aside from the good air, which I've run in with my times, any suggestions? How about shift points? My car shifts at about 6250 RPM, just curious as to what you wind yours out to?

Wow your smoking some h&c setups I've seen on this site or at least damn near (assuming all the track conditions, sus. setup. ect.)!!! Great Job!! I also was trying to get a hold of Joe he posted a message on his message board explaining how buzy he is so I just gave up. Good luck though.

Man that is really flyin for a cam only car! I wish the air up here was as good as yours on the worst day. Are you ever going to strap it down on a dyno?

Question Re: Update new cam only lt1 times

Frank95z, is this a stock bottom end as well as heads? If so, what are you shifting at, just out of curiosity. If it's stock, how many miles on the motor?

Turbo Yes i'm going to dyno and tune in January. Harvey yes I have a stock bottom end it has never been taken apart. I had the heads off last year for a look-see and the cylinder walls looked new. My car has 74500 miles. Frank95z

This goes to show that suspension and drivetrain mods really pay off to get 60' times like those. Then a little weight reduction and an excellent package of parts you're really movin. Good work Frank I hope to break 11's next season.

96flame My car has stock shocks, springs, torque arm. i have both swaybars removed and an airbag in the right rear spring. I run at a well prepared sealevel track that is the key to good 60fts. the stock suspension is good as is. Frank95z

Thats good to know, I may have to try the airbag and swaybar delete. I'm sure the 12 bolt rear takes away a lot of worry of broken parts though.

Re: Update new cam only lt1 times

why both sway bars does it help more than just removing the front? if so why?
