Exclamation UPDATE: I'm spending a lot of money **recommend reading**

I deleted my old post because I made some harsh claims without thinking and I want to hopefully redeem myself, and also let any of you guys that find yourself in my position know about this, so you don't make the same mistake. My position would be that I was wanting to do a heads/cam upgrade and I made a poor choice buying from a private seller claiming he had a heads/cam/intake combo from a well known name. I bought the stuff about a year ago and found out yesterday that I bought cheap rip off's.

The reason my engine went out was not from the new parts I bought, it was mainly my fault because I had fragments running through the oil and I didn't know it. However, the heads that I bought had poor machine work all around and they had cheap springs and were just all together poorly put together. And that was actually causing damage to valves and the heads themselves. The cam was bad quality as well. The intake wasn't all that bad, but could be improved upon.

Yesterday when I made the post, I made it seem like the parts I bought caused all this damage and that's not true. I also made it seem like I was spending 10 grand to fix everything. That part IS true, but not only am I having everything fixed, I'm being upgraded to a 383 with 4 bolt mains, and I will basically have a brand new engine with the exception of the block which is being restored. It's being built to handle nitrous, including a 255 fuel pump, r&r on the gas tank, new high performance struts and mounts and some other small stuff. They are redoing the heads and intake the right way, getting a new cam and installing a built tranny of my choice for free (since it's already out, they don't care if they install the same old or a brand new one) Then they are dynotuning.

So I'm not getting a bad deal out of it, basically my plans for the next 5 years worth of mods are being crammed into a few weeks so I do it once and do it right. I'm really sorry for all the trouble I caused in that last thread and I'm sure I tarnished my own name here much more than anything else

Yeah it does. I'm confident it's going to turn out well though
