Just giving an update on this thread about where I'm at with my car.
The car had the engine block cracked at the #7 cylinder. I've talked with my mechanic and did some looking around... Getting a used engine is too risky, you dont know what you'll get and they'll be a good amount of milage on it anyhow. My mechanic said the best way is to rebuild with an entire new block, heads etc...
Should be like a new engine except for a few things such as the optispark and the intake + exhaust.

Just like some opinions on the price:
$2165.00 cdn for them to get the new block and parts.
$500.00 cdn for the labour in putting it all back together.

Seems like a killer deal to me... (conversion rate is roughly = 1 USD = 1.50 CDN). Any comments?
