I got the new shim pack kit. Just wondering how I should be able to figure out what shims are to be used. Is there a standard?

1. Find a friend who knows how to setup a rearend.

2. Buy a 12 pack of beer (new friend's choice)

3. Exchange 12 pack of beer from step 2 for friend's help to install new gears.

Most people I've seen setup rearends for street cars just knew how to shim everything from experience. I don't ever do them myself, it's easier to pay someone to do that for me, plus if something goes wrong they have to fix it. Well worth the cost in my opinion. Good luck though Heat.

Shimming is pretty basic. Just eliminate the slop and your done. There is no set amount to shim
