Unique directional Vs. Asymmetric tread
Re: Unique directional Vs. Asymmetric tread
Both are seperate technologies. Directional refers to the tread needing to face one way to work correctly, asymmetric refers to the tread being different on the left side of the tire, compared to the right. Benefits include increased cornering capabilities in certain situations. You can have neither, one, or both in a tire.
So with Asymmetric tread I cannot do the kitty cross the tires ?
But I can do Foward and Reverse. (Rotation)
on Directional they have inside and out side oreintion but i can do kitty cross rotation ?

Re: Unique directional Vs. Asymmetric tread
You might want to try this in the Wheel and Tire forum as this is LT1 Engine Tech... lest the Jem'Hadar come for you.
Re: Unique directional Vs. Asymmetric tread
Yes, you can only rotate your tires front to back. I perfer directional tires on a sports car. Also, you usually have alot better traction in the rain because you don't have to compromise when you design a tire with directional tread.
Re: Unique directional Vs. Asymmetric tread
This is "Wheel & Tire" stuff..... does not belong on "LT1 Engine Tech".
