Does anyone know if unequal backpressure will hurt your engine and performance or would the front 02s adjust for the difference in backpressure. I have a dual cat setup and one of the cats went bad and is rattling. I dont want to put allot of money into this setup because I plan to switch to an LS1 in the near future and will have to get new headers, y pipe and so on then. Im trying to find a cheap fix for this noisy cat? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I should have mentioned that it is a random tech high flow dual cat setup. I dont know if I can just use a stock flow cat or does it have to be another high flow cat, would the difference in backpressure cause problems? Also are there high flows on there cheap too?

yea there are high flows cheap on there, no i dont think it would make too much of a difference. you can pick up a carsound (p/n 94009 i think) for around $50, high flow
