Under Driven Balancer?

I need a balancer, and I have been looking around and found this balancer from RK Sport. It's under driven, so I am wondering how much it would affect the charging and A/C system. It's the same price as a factory replacement, but if it's higher quality and gets me a little power, I'd be willing to do it. I don't want to spend a ton though, I have a bunch of other repairs that need done as well, so I am counting out ones like ATI or Fluidampr.
Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!

What is the underdrive percentage? That's what will govern the minimum RPM required to achieve full charge at idle. The low stock idle speed of the A4's exacerbates the problem.

Is it the ASP integrated U/D pulley and damper? Of is it a "sandwich" style add-on pulley?

OK... after finding the part on RK Sport, appears to be the ASP integrated unit, 23% U/D, and requires 800rpm to generate full charge voltage. The ASP unit is not SFI-rated.

And, here's the gain you will see from this investment:

Meh, it's not even worth it. I messed with underdrive pulleys on my older Camaro, and I wasn't pleased, and since you're netting 1 hp, I'm not even going to waste my time on it. Thanks for the help!

I've ran the ASP 945103 integrated set for 6 years with no issues. The dampner alone is over 2 lbs. lighter than the stock one, that's 2 lbs. less rotational mass. The 1 hp gain everyone looks at on ws6.com is from a sandwich style Hypertech pulley which uses the stock dampner. Two different animals IMO.

Agreed,
I got mine for 50 bucks and would expect better than 1hp from it.
