under a load
my car has had this surge in the upper rpm range about 4000-6000...it does it real bad with the a/c on...well i changed the spark plugs, fuel filter, and the driver side set of spark plug wires.
i havent changed the coil wire its self, or the passenger side set of plug wires(looks like a job!)
anyways do you think that plug wires might be causing this surge in the upper rpm range?
thanks for your time,
steve

If it still happens after the other spark plug wires are changed. Then it could be your opti. Before you change it, I would hook the car up to a computer if you know anybody that has tuner cat or lt1 edit so you can see what your knock sensor is doing...it could picking up false knock due to a new exhuast. It could also be one or both of your 02's that might need to be replaced...
well i took that out of my sig. because im not sure if its gutted or not!
but it kinda is doing the same thing that my dodge dakota truck did when the cat. was stopped up...but...it has an occasinal back fire! so thats what had me wonderin about the plug wires.
thanks for your time,
steve
